Revival: The Chaotic, Colourful Journey of the 1977-78 Toronto Maple Leafs

The Gord and Damien Show gets back together. Nineteen years after we collaborated on '67, one day Gord and I were talking about the awful final days of Borje Salming. Soon, we were talking about the Maple Leafs of that era, and then the team that beat the New York Islanders on Lanny McDonald's dramatic goal to reach the NHL semifinals in the spring of 1978. This was a chance to revisit the players and stories of that era, highlighting the tremendous bonds between the stars of the team, including Salming, Darryl Sittler, McDonald and Tiger Williams. It was a team that left many fans wondering what could have been had the team not been torn apart a year later. The principles have aged, but the stories remain vibrant and fascinating.
